Privacy Policy
How we handle data and protect your privacy.
This Privacy Notice ("Notice") applies when you communicate with us or interact with the fastpdfeditor.com website, web application, and related services (collectively, the "Services") operated by Goma Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością, NIP 9482642522, KRS 0001069388, ul. Henryka Sienkiewicza 36/5, 26-600 Radom, Poland ("FastPDFEditor," "we," "us").
This Notice describes what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have. We may update this Notice and will notify you of material changes as required by law.
This Notice does not apply to third-party websites linked from our Services. We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices and encourage you to read their notices.
1. Personal Information We Collect
Account and Contact Information
When you create an account or contact us, we may collect your email address, name, and similar identifiers necessary to provide and manage the Services.
Payment Information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive only a record of the transaction (plan type, amount, date) and your email address. We do not store credit card numbers or full payment card data on our servers.
PDF Files and Documents
FastPDFEditor processes your PDF files entirely in your browser. Files are not uploaded to or stored on our servers during editing. A temporary encrypted copy of your edited document may be stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB solely to enable payment-triggered file delivery (i.e., saving the file after a successful Stripe payment). This copy is deleted immediately after delivery or on your next session.
Technical and Usage Information
When you visit our website, our servers and third-party tools (such as Google Analytics and Hotjar) automatically collect:
- Browser type, operating system, device type
- IP address, approximate location (country/city level)
- Pages visited, time spent, clicks, and navigation paths
- Session timestamps and referral source
This information is used to maintain and improve the Services and is collected via cookies and similar tracking technologies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Support Communications
If you contact us for support, we collect the information you provide (such as your email address and description of the issue) solely to respond to and resolve your request.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect biometric data, health data, or sensitive personal data as defined under GDPR. We do not track precise geolocation. We do not collect personal data from minors under 18.
2. How We Collect Personal Information
- Directly from you — when you create an account, contact support, or make a purchase.
- Automatically — via cookies, web analytics tools, and server logs when you visit or use the Services.
- From payment processors — Stripe provides us with basic transaction data after a completed payment.
3. How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information for the following purposes:
- Providing and improving the Services — creating and managing your account, processing payments, delivering your saved PDF files, and maintaining service reliability.
- Analytics and product development — understanding how the Services are used to improve features and user experience.
- Customer support — responding to your questions and resolving issues.
- Security and fraud prevention — detecting and preventing unauthorised access, abuse, or illegal activity.
- Legal compliance — meeting our obligations under applicable law, including tax, accounting, and data protection regulations.
- Marketing communications — where you have consented or where permitted by applicable law, we may send you information about our Services. You may opt out at any time.
Lawful Basis (GDPR)
If EU/EEA or UK data protection law applies, we process your personal information under the following legal bases:
- Contract performance — to create and manage your account and process payments.
- Legitimate interests — to improve our Services, prevent fraud, and maintain security, where our interests do not override your rights.
- Consent — for marketing communications and certain cookies (which you may withdraw at any time).
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
4. How We Disclose Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it in limited circumstances:
- Service providers — companies that help us operate the Services (e.g., Stripe for payment processing, Google Analytics and Hotjar for analytics, hosting providers). They process data only on our behalf and under our instructions.
- Legal obligations — when required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.
- Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- With your consent — in any other circumstances with your explicit consent.
5. How We Retain Personal Information
We retain personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Notice, including:
- For as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Services.
- To comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax records may be retained for up to 5 years under Polish law).
- To resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
When data is no longer needed, we delete, anonymise, or isolate it from further processing. Note that even if you request deletion, we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Services and collect usage data. For full details, see our Cookie Policy. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal obligations.
- Restriction — ask us to limit processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Portability — receive your personal information in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.

8. International Data Transfers
Some of our service providers (such as Stripe and Google) are based outside the European Economic Area. When we transfer personal data to these providers, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or adequacy decisions.
9. Minors
Our Services are not directed to persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
10. Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to keep it confidential.
